This can put the odds in your favor against COVID-19

There is no such thing as a magic training program or diet that will cure or shield you from Covid-19 but that doesn't mean we are best advised to give up hope and do nothing to protect ourselves and ensure the health of our loved ones.
Survival of the fittest
There has never been a better time to start paying attention to diet and exercise then right now, many of us stuck at home are using this difficult time as an opportunity to reinforce our bodies like never before and improve our chances of survival.
Diet and exercise have universal benefits which take effect even when we aren't in a global pandemic, the Mayo Clinic says exercise improves moods, boosts energy, and produces better sleep.
On top of all that, Regular exercise helps prevent or manage many health problems and concerns, including stroke, metabolic syndrome, high blood pressure, Type 2 diabetes, depression, anxiety, many types of cancer, arthritis (and) falls.”
It makes sense to me that putting yourself and the people you love in the best position possible health-wise will give you a better chance of coming out of the other side of this situation unscathed. How can we put ourselves in that position? - two to five hours per week of exercise and eating more vegetables and less processed food.
It takes time to change your habits but we have never had more time available then we do right now.
from the University of Virginia: “Regular exercise may reduce the risk of acute respiratory distress syndrome, a major cause of death in patients with the COVID-19 virus, a top exercise researcher reports.”
I want to tie this all together by making it clear that fitness does not guarantee your safety, it only greatly improves your odds. If you come to battle fitter than the average person your chances of coming out on the other side are exponentially better. it's not too late to get into better shape, and results can come faster than you expect, it's not uncommon to see people start feeling healthier in a matter of weeks!
We have no excuse not to make ourselves better during the quarantine
No gym access - Zoom home workout classes and online coaching.
No time - Lockdown has many of us trapped in our homes bored all day, do you really have something better to do than make yourself a healthier individual?
No money - Hospital bills ALWAYS cost more than a healthy lifestyle
Do you want to sit back helpless and see where these times take you or if you want to do everything in your power to stack the deck in your favor? The choice is yours.
